51 Lambs Sold at ISBA Spring Sale in River Falls

 

The Indianhead Sheep Breeders Association held its annual Spring Association Member Consignment Sale on Sunday, April 6th at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Mann Valley Farm. The sale was conducted by auctioneer Jon Mork of Beldenville, Wisconsin and well attended with 51 head selling for a sale average of $193.37.  49 ewe and wether club lambs and 2 Registered Dorset ewe lambs were consigned by the following consignors:  Rupnow Hamps & Show Lambs, Wausau, Wisconsin; Robinson Dorsets and Hamps, Mineral Point, Wisconsin; Olson Club Lambs, Blanchardville, Wisconsin; Terry Knutson Club Lambs, River Falls, Wisconsin; A & M Farms, Mineral Point, Wisconsin; Heins Club Lambs, Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Otteson Club Lambs, Stewartville, Minnesota; Jarek Livestock, Bonduel, Wisconsin, Treml Dream Acres Club Lambs, Mauston, Wisconsin; Dennis and Deb Jarek, Bonduel, Wisconsin; and, Kinsley Show Lambs, Rochester, Minnesota.  The top selling lamb was a registered Dorset ewe consigned by Robinson Dorsets and Hamps and sold for $450.00 to Michael Gleason of Ringle, Wisconsin.  Other top selling lambs were consigned by A & M Farms selling to Jeco Beyrer of Colfax, Wisconsin for $400 and consigned by Kinsley Show Lambs selling to Jed Wier of Lake Elmo, Minnesota for $310.00.

 

The sale included a youth clinic presented by Alecia Treml of Dream Acres Club Lambs, a concession stand, a silent auction of donated products, and show supplies provided by Profile Show Supply and Embroidery of Wausau.  The Indianhead Sheep Breeders Association Board of Directors would like to express its gratitude to sale chairperson, Linda Mullendore for putting together another successful sale, and to all of the consignors and buyers.  Thank you also to the following for their help with announcements, clerk duties, concession stand duties, pen set-up, marking and weighing, and clean-up:  Rudy Erickson, Bryan Mullendore, Jake Mullendore, Rachel Mullendore, Greg Glunz, Allison Glunz, and Kevin Glunz.
