2008 Indianhead Sheep Breeders Scholarship Award

 

 

The Indianhead Sheep Breeders Association 2008 Scholarship recipient selected by the board of directors is ISBA member Wrayanne A. Hersha of Dafter, Michigan.  A check for $500 was presented at the Indianhead Sheep Breeders Association 14th Annual Shepherd’s Clinic and Trade Show on February 9th in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.  Wrayanne is the daughter of ISBA member Holly Norquest formerly of Springbrook, Wisconsin.  Wrayanne will graduate from Brimley High School in May and plans to attend UW-Madison in the fall to study large animal veterinary medicine.  She attended Spooner High School prior to moving with her family to Michigan and was active in both 4-H and FFA, raising and exhibiting sheep, as well as many other projects, at the Washburn County Fair.  She and her family operate Edgewood Acres raising Border Leceisters, Hampshires, Suffolks and Suffolk/Hampshire/Texel crossbreds.
